Alongside her fine art practice, Gisela is passionate about bookmaking as a form of intimate storytelling. She has spent years collecting paper ephemera—maps, transit tickets, handwritten notes, postcards, and fragments of printed matter gathered from her travels. These pieces, once ordinary and transient, become treasured materials in her handmade books, where they are re-contextualized into new narratives. The resulting artist books exist as tactile archives that honour the landscapes she has moved through and the relationships, memories, and discoveries encountered along the way.
